QENP has one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game reserve in the world.
Queen Elizabeth National Park sits in a fertile, equatorial valley at the base of the Rwenzori Mountains. This beautiful park boasts wide savannahs, leafy rainforests, dense papyrus swamps and natural volcanic crater lakes. As a result of the varied environments, QENP has one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game reserve in the world, including a total of 95 recorded mammal species and more than 610 species of birds. QENP is ideal for spotting chimps, hippos, lion, leopard and Ugandan kob.
