Chameleon Hill is a peaceful and exclusive retreat on Lake Mutanda, adjacent to Bwindi Impenetrable and Mgahinga Gorilla National Parks. It features 12 luxury en-suite chalets (including a two bedroom family villa), each one individually decorated with an artistic touch and painted in bright colors – just like a chameleon. Each chalet offers stunning views of the lake and the Virunga Volcanoes mountain range beyond.

Modern, well-equipped bathrooms offer hot and cold water, along with shampoos and shower gels from the exclusive Rooibos range. Chameleon Hill is the only lodge in Uganda where you can enjoy one of the best views in the world while you shower through a panoramic window. All chalets feature mosquito netted beds (although due to the altitude there are virtually no bugs), private safes, umbrellas, flashlights, filtered drink water and extra blankets for chilly nights.

To ensure a good night’s rest before getting up early for to gorilla trek, Chameleon Hill promises comfortable mattresses and cozy duvets and linens. All rooms are serviced daily, and muddy boots can be left outside the door to be returned the next morning looking brand new.
