Foundation Update from Caroline Birungi, Jascar Founder and CAS vehicle workshop supervisor:

I hereby extend our sincere appreciation towards everything Classic Africa Safaris does for Jascar Foundation Ltd.
As part of our annual program, in the month of October this year from 03rd to 06th we were able to reach out to more than 1000 girls from 8 schools in Kamuli District.
We went through the Menstrual health management and awareness routines to equip the girls and the senior women teachers as always.
With your generous support, 655 girls received Reusable sanitary pads and these were from the schools below:

  1. Kitayunjwa Seed Secondary School
  2. St. Leo Buganza Primary School
  3. Huddah Islamic Primary School
  4. St. Andrews Secondary School

I was very surprised and happy seeing new faces of girls coming back to school, numbers have increased.
Major Challenges we are facing include:

  • Girls from the highlighted school never had underwear, this left me unsettled and as a team we are trying our best to fix this as soon as possible.
  • Pads were not enough for all the 8 schools.
  • Some girls had bigger Menstrual health issues and these require medical attention.
